Job description

To be trained on technical review and assessments of facilities and activities regulated by the NNR in the areas of radiation safety for workers and public, radioactive waste management, safe transport radioactive material and environmental radiation protection, based on an in-depth understanding of established legal, regulatory framework and organisational processes and guides

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Completed NQF level 8 in Natural Sciences
• 1-year regulatory experience or relevant industry related experience
  
• Be a South African citizen

Skills Development and Training focus areas:

• Reviews and assessment of technical submissions from authorisation holders and applicants in accordance with regulatory principles/ requirements/ criteria and international best practice
• Development of regulatory framework activities and implementation
• Development and review of internal core processes documents
• Focus on self-development relating to duties in order to contribute to NNR capacity building
• Regulatory database and SharePoint
